Winter Coworking & Mountain Retreat in Gimmelwald
Have you ever heard of Winter Wonderland?
Are you tired of working from home by yourself? Do you miss the social environment? What do you think of coworking with amazing views and great people in one of Switzerland’s largest ski resorts for a week?
Join us for a coworking week from 13-18 February at the charming and authentic Mountain Hostel in Gimmelwald, in the gorgeous Lauterbrunnen valley. A tremendous place with the most beautiful views of the Bernese Oberland 4000ers where to work from, share ideas, enjoy meals, play games, enjoy the outdoors…
The hostel is located within the Jungfrau ski resort, one of Switzerland’s largest ski resorts: 2 valleys, 3 mountain ranges and 211 kilometres of slopes. The winter paradise with the backdrop of Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau offers skiers and snowboarders everything their hearts desire: gentle slopes, steep drops, snow and fun parks, racing tracks and powder parties. Mürren-Schilthorn area, where the hostel is, has a lot of pleasure runs and steep slopes for skiers, adrenaline rushes for snowboarders, ski touring and off-piste areas, and magical snow for those who aren’t big downhill skiing enthusiasts: winter hiking trails, sledge runs, cross-country skiing trails…
Whether inside the lovely cozy working space, on a sofa in the lounge, in the small conservatory on the terrace… you get to choose where to work from during the day. Before and after working, you get to relax and have fun social activities. It’s then up to you if you want to take some days off to make the most of the ski resort or of the spa in Mürren with your special guest rates!
Gimmelwald is a car-free village but there are many ways to access the hostel:
-By cable car coming up from Stechelberg, at the end of the Lauterbrunnen valley
-By cable car coming down from Mürren (both cable cars run from 06:00 until midnight every day)
-By ski coming down from Schiltgrat on the official free ride piste
-By foot coming down from Mürren on the official winter hiking trail
-By sledge from Schiltgrat, or from Mürren after taking the cable car up at night on the full moon evening!
Breakfast will be waiting for you every morning, and there’s a raid-the-fridge policy for you to have snacks and prepare some sandwiches for your lunch if you want to be out for a day, otherwise there will be a simple lunch buffet. We will share a nice dinner all together every evening, and you’re all welcome to help cook if you want to!
If you’d like to extend your stay to enjoy a weekend skiing, snowboarding, sledging or just chilling in the mountains, feel free to book the Jungfrau Winter Sports Weekend separately!
