Guided day hike to Jöriseen, Engadin

What’s the plan?

We meet at the bus stop Wägerhus/Abzw. Jöriseen at 09:30 on Sunday. From there, we start our hike with a steep climb all the way to our highest point of the day, at almost 2800m above sea level! Once we reach this pass, the turquoise-blue water surfaces appear on the other side – this is one of the most impressive views of the Jöriseen. We will take some time to enjoy these gorgeous lakes before heading up again toward the second pass of the day to clsoe our loop and get back to the bus stop in the afternoon. If we finish relatively early, we can walk to Flüela Pass, with its two lakes, and have a coffee or a beer at the Hospiz before taking the bus back!

• 20-30L backpack
• Waterproof backpack cover and waterproof inner bag
• Hiking boots
• Goretex jacket
• Down jacket
• Fleece
• Hiking trousers
• Quick-dry t-shirt
• Warm hat
• Gloves
• Sun hat
• Sunglasses
• Personal first aid kit (plasters, pain killers, etc…)
• Water (minimum 2L)
• Packed lunch

How to get there?

If you are traveling from Zurich by public transport, we recommend you to take the following transportation.

• Zurich HB 06:38 – 09:31 Wägerhus/Abzw. Jöriseen (via Landquart, Sagliains and Susch)
• Wägerhus/Abzw. Jöriseen 16:30 – 19:22 Zurich HB (via Davos and Landquart)
