Guided day hike to Jöriseen, Engadin
A stunning hike to Jöriseen in Engadin! The Jöriseen are a group of different sized mountain lakes, all of them getting their water from the Jöri glacier, and surely some of the most beautiful and unique in Switzerland. The collection of those lakes with almost unnatural colours makes this place truly special. This trip is led by Celine Kahn, apprentice mountain le
What’s the plan?
We meet at the bus stop Wägerhus/Abzw. Jöriseen at 09:30 on Sunday. From there, we start our hike with a steep climb all the way to our highest point of the day, at almost 2800m above sea level! Once we reach this pass, the turquoise-blue water surfaces appear on the other side – this is one of the most impressive views of the Jöriseen. We will take some time to enjoy these gorgeous lakes before heading up again toward the second pass of the day to clsoe our loop and get back to the bus stop in the afternoon. If we finish relatively early, we can walk to Flüela Pass, with its two lakes, and have a coffee or a beer at the Hospiz before taking the bus back!
