Outdoor Climbing Course – Weekend

Dear Monkeys,

In collaboration with Ubaldo, climbing instructor, we are planning to go outdoor climbing for a weekend. If you have been indoor climbing for a while and would like to try the outdoors, or if you have been outdoor climbing before and would like some refresher course, this event is for you!

What’s the plan?
================

We will meet at Zurich HB (small car park on Museumstrasse) at 08:00 am and drive to a lovely place for outdoor climbing – the exact location will be confirmed at a later stage, as this will depend on the weather conditions. Possible locations are Jura, Glarus, Germany (at the border with Switzerland).

On Saturday evening, we will enjoy some dinner all together and camp at a nearby campsite.

Requirements
=============

Everyone joining this event MUST be able to lead climb and belay. All participants will be requested to join us for an indoor climbing session before the event (date to be defined once you sign up).

What does the price include (CHF300)?
=====================================

– Return trip from Zurich by car
– 2 full days climbing with a climbing instructor
– Dinner on Saturday
– Campground for 1 night
– Breakfast on Sunday
– Rope and quickdraws

What does the price NOT include?
=================================

– Climbing gear (see kit list below)
– Lunches
– Drinks
– Snacks

Kit list
======

Please bring:
– Harness
– Helmet
– Climbing shoes
– Chalk
– Belay device
– 2x Carabiners
– Quickdraws if you have some
– Tent if you want to sleep in your own (if you don’t mind sharing, we have a few tents)
– Sleeping mat and sleeping bag
– Water
– Snacks
– Packed lunches
– Simple first aid kit with things that you may need

Once registered, please make the payment of the 50% deposit (CHF150) within 7 days via Twint or bank transfer (we will send you our account details). The balance payment is due by 15 May 2020.
