Ibergeregg

Instruction includes: lead climbing & belaying, rope management, clipping an express, setting & clearing anchors, equipment, and communication. This course will build the confidence and create a great foundation as a lead climber.
Course 3 – Introduction to Outdoor Climbing 3/3 – Alpine Rock Climbing
Göschenertal
Sign up here → 15 & 16 July 2023
Apply your newly acquired skills from courses 1 & 2 at an alpine rock climbing weekend. All your skills come together: lead climbing, belaying and anchor building in a high-altitude setting. Test yourself against the rock and achieve your climbing goals. We will stay overnight in a mountain hut with access to climbing routes right out the front door. It’s a great way to end this climbing course series!
What’s the plan?
Meet Tim in front of the Arth-Goldau train station at 09:15 on Saturday. Shuttle to the crag. The first half of the day will be dedicated to understanding the equipment, fundamentals of outdoor climbing, and safety rules. During the second half of the day, you will be able to put theory into practice and rock climb.
Requirements
Some previous climbing experience is recommended (indoor climbing or bouldering). However, if you are fit and keen to try outdoor climbing but have never climbed before, we are happy for you to join us.
Insurance
It is the participant’s responsibility to get health and accident insurances that cover mountain rescue, including extreme sports. Becoming a Rega patron is highly recommended (CHF 40 per year only for emergency medical assistance from the air).
How to get there
If you are traveling from Zurich by public transport, we recommend you take the following:
- Zurich HB 08:33 – 09:16 Arth-Goldau
