Guided 2-day hike overlooking the Churfisten’s seven peaks - CONFIRMED 1

What’s the plan?

Day 1: Flumserberg, Tannenboden – Spitzmeilenhütte

We meet at Flumserberg, Tannenboden at 09:30. The first part of the day is perfect to warm up: a gentle uphill on easy terrain all the way to the gorgeous mountain lakes Seeben, from where we can see the ridges that await us and the Churfirsten on the other side. We then hike on the ridge all the way to the Zigerfurgglen pass at 2’000m. Once we reach the pass, a beautiful balcony trail takes us all the way to the beautiful mountain hut Spitzmeilenhütte at 2’087m, where we spend the night. The sunset and sunrise from there are absolutely breathtaking!

Technical information: 15km – 1’100m ascent – 400m descent

Day 2: Spitzmeilenhütte – Schönhalden

Wake up to the sunrise and the stunning views! After an energising breakfast, we start with a long and gentle downhill through the Schils valley with some parts in the forest, and then climb again on the other side of the valley, traversing forests and pastures, until we reach the beautiful Schönhalden hotel where we can take a cable car down to spare our leg muscles of another 750m elevation loss. We end the day in Flumserberg Saxli where we can catch a bus to return home.

Technical information: 12.5km – 700m ascent – 1’300m descent
