Into the Wild – Bushcraft & Foraging Weekend

Learn wilderness bushcraft skills during a weekend in nature with Luca Durante, a specialist in archaeology, indigenous communities and their traditional way of life, and Nina Fischer, a specialist in wild plants who will guide us in foraging.

Details (Bushcraft & Foraging)

We will meet Luca at a given location on Saturday morning (accessible by public transport), and walk to our camp. It will likely be in the Jura Vaudois natural regional park. The walk to the camp introduces us to the environment in which we will spend the weekend.

The rest of the day will be dedicated to two main activities:

  • The construction of our shelter where we will spend the night
  • The bow drill fire making process to keep us warm and cook in the evening

We will then spend the night in our self-made shelters, after sharing a nice dinner around our campfire!

On Sunday, Nina will meet us in the morning and we will go for a walk with her. She will introduce us to the local plants and together we will go foraging for our food for brunch. Once we’ve gathered enough edible plants, we will head back to the camp and prepare our brunch around the fire.

How to get there?

We will confirm the location at a later stage. It will be accessible by public transport.
