4-day Alpine & Glacier Trekking from Täsch to Zermatt

Join us for a 4-day alpine and glacier trekking in Valais, ending in the famous mountain resort Zermatt, below the iconic Matterhorn peak, crossing glaciers, ascending one of the Swiss 4000s, and sleeping each night in a different mountain hut, all above 2600 meters above sea level.

This trip is led by one of our International Mountain Guides.

Details (Alpine & Glacier Trekking)

Day 1: Täsch – Fluhalp

We will meet our guide in Täsch at 10:00. From there we will start the 4-day trek with a beautiful hike all the way up to the Bergrestaurant Fluhalp. The hut, located at 2620m above sea level, offers stunning views!

Dinner and night at Fluhalp.

Day 2: Fluhalp – Monte Rosa Hütte

Longest day of the trek! We will have an early start and hike from Fluhalp to the famous Monte Rosa Hütte. The day will be filled with amazing views of the surrounding 4000s and the Monte Rosa massif, and will be long and challenging! Well deserved dinner and night at Monte Rosa Hütte at 2883m above sea level.

Day 3: Monte Rosa Hütte – Gandegghütte

We will leave the hut in the morning to hike to the next one, the Gandegghütte, via the famous Gornergrat, facing the mythical Matterhorn. Dinner and night at Gandegghütte at 3030m above sea level.

Day 4: Gandegghütte – Breithorn – Zermatt

Depending on how we feel, everyone or some of us can take the cable car to Klein Matterhorn and ascend Breithorn (4164m) in the morning to finish this 4-day trek with one of the famous Swiss 4000m. Return to the hut for lunch before taking the cable car to Zermatt in the afternoon.

Requirements

To join this Alpine & Glacier Trekking event, you need to be a very fit hiker. You should be able to hike 10 hours or more in one day (for day 2, the other days will be more relaxed) with at least 1300m of elevation gain. No previous mountaineering experience needed.

Pricing

The price for this event is CHF 1000.

What does the price include?

• 4 days hiking/mountaineering (alpine & glacier trekking) with a certified International Mountain Guide
• 3 nights of accommodation in mountain huts
• Dinner from Thursday – Saturday
• Breakfast from Friday – Sunday
• Lunch from Friday – Sunday

What does the price NOT include?

• Transport to Saas-Fee and back from Zermatt
• Cable car from Trockener Steg to Klein Matterhorn and from Klein Matterhorn to Zermatt on Sunday

Payment terms

Once registered, please pay a 50% deposit within 7 days and the balance by 5 July 2021, one month before the event starts.
