Introduction to Mountaineering: 3-day hike with ascension of Allalinhorn (4027m)

cIn collaboration with Eliot Hennion, International Mountain Guide, this will be a 3-day introduction to mountaineering in the canton of Valais. We will be hiking up to Britannia hut SAC and stay two nights there. The hut lies at a height of 3,030 metres above sea level, at the foot of the Allalinhorn near the Allalin Glacier, in the Mischabel massif.

If you are a fit hiker and would like to try mountaineering and go up to 4000m+, this is for you!

What’s the plan? (Allalinhorn ascent & hike)

Day 1

We will meet in Saas-Fee in the morning, hike up to Britannia hut SAC and do some technical exercises to train for day 2. Night at the hut.

Day 2
—–
Ascension of the South Face of Egginer (3367m) and return to the hut for the night.

Day 3
—–
Ascension of the Allalinhorn (4027m) and hike down to Saas-Fee.

If you are travelling from Zurich, we recommend you to take the following trains:

Friday 11 September 2020:
06:02 Zurich HB – 09:04 Saas-Fee (via Visp)

Sunday 13 September 2020:
17:52 Saas-Fee – 20:58 Zurich HB (via Visp) – depending on what time we return to Saas-Fee

What does the price include (CHF600)?

– 3 days of guided hiking/mountaineering with an International Mountain Guide

Once registered, please pay a 50% deposit within 7 days. The balance is due by 11 August 2020.
